The purpose of this website is to familiarize you with WCEA and its important work in guaranteeing quality Catholic elementary and secondary schools through a process of accreditation. In this process WCEA affirms the faith formation of every student, ensures sound academic standards that meet the needs of every student enrolled in a Catholic school, and promotes excellence in Catholic education as we look to the future of our schools. Our teachers, administrators and students come together to bring innovative, reasearch-based and inclusive approaches to learning and daily demonstrate the rewards of leadership through teamwork.

The website also provides the WCEA Elementary and Secondary Commissioners with the materials they need to prepare schools for the process, a “best practices” format which provides samples of Self Study Reports and Visiting Team Reports. It also provides the various Handbooks needed by Commissioners, Team Chairs and Visiting Team Members in completing the accreditation process, and the Process for School Improvement and the Focus On Learning Protocols used by the schools to write the Self-Study.
